Samsung Exhibit II 4G Gets The Android 2.3.6 Update

Last year, Samsung launched the Android powered Samsung Exhibit II 4G smartphone. This handset is exclusively available for the T-Mobile subscribers in the US. Samsung Exhibit II 4G is the successor of the popular Samsung Exhibit 4G smartphone. It was originally shipped with the Android 2.3.3 (Gingerbread) Operating System. It was later updated to the Android 2.3.5 OS.

Now, T-Mobile is rolling out a new update for the Samsung Exhibit II 4G smartphone. This update does not brings the Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) OS. However, the latest update is numbered T679UVLE1 and it bumps the device to Android 2.3.6 OS. It also re-brands the smartphone from Samsung Exhibit II 4G to Samsung Galaxy Exhibit 4G. The size of the update is just 33 MB. This update can be easily downloaded via OTA (Over-The-Air) and KIES. If you still haven’t received the update, then just go to Home > Applications > Settings > About Device > System updates and check for the update. This update will be available till June 15, 2012.
