Looks like Samsung is soon going to release another Galaxy S variant in the U.S. This new handset is rumored to be the SCH-i400 Continuum which features two screens. Yes, two screens! Below the 4-inch Super-AMOLED screen (hopefully!), the Continuum will feature a secondary Ticker’ display.
The folks at Engadget have also managed to get some pictures of the device as well. According to them, the Ticker’ will provide users with access to primary phone functions like RSS updates and Weather updates. This will help in improving the battery life of the device to a great extent.
The handset also sports a microSD card slot and a dedicated camera button on its side. The dual-screen handset will be running on Android 2.2 with Samsung’s proprietary TouchWiz UI on top of it. The phone also sports a Verizon logo up-front which indicates that the device will hit Verizon first and hopefully right before the year ends.
