Hack to Run Free Nokia Ovi Maps on Nokia N97

The announcement of a the free turn-by-turn navigation for Ovi Maps [1] turned out to be a dud for Nokia N97 [2] users, nevertheless, we confirmed that a Firmware update for Nokia N97 [3] would bring the free Ovi Maps to them.
However, if you are impatient and want to try out the Free Ovi Maps on Nokia N97 [2] before the firmware update, here is a hack around, thanks to our commentator ferry [4]. To run the new Ovi Maps on Nokia N97, follow the instructions given below.
Step 1: Go to http://maps.nokia.com/explore-services/ovi-maps [5] and Click on the "Get the latest" link.
Step 2: Select Nokia N97 mini from the dropdown list and download the OviMaps.sisx file to your desktop.
Step 3: Copy the file to your Nokia N97 and use the Filemanager to install it.
Step 4: Follow all the instructions to install the app and you are on your way finding directions for free.
