Today RIM (Research In Motion) has unveiled its latest smartphone named BlackBerry Bold [1] 9700. It will replace the original BlackBerry Bold [1] 9000 which was launched in last November. This smartphone is BlackBerry’s first 3G enabled handset.

RIM chief executive Mike Lazaridis said,
“We’re not discontinuing the current Bold. The current Bold is in a class by itself. Just like we have different Curves, we have different Bolds. This is the Bold for those that wanted it just a little smaller, but still wanted the Bold look, feel, performance and materials.”
The BlackBerry Bold 9700 replaces the trackball navigator with the touch-sensitive trackpad, which was first introduced on the BlackBerry Curve 8520. The BlackBerry Bold 9700 will be sold in US by AT&T and T-Mobile in early November. The pricing of this amazing smartphone has not been announced.
