RIM (Research In Motion) recently launched the elegant looking BlackBerry’s latest smartphone, the BlackBerry Torch. This is the first handset which runs on the new BlackBerry 6 operating system and first handset to feature the combination of a full touch screen display with an iconic BlackBerry keyboard.

With its new high-performance browser, powerful touch screen interface and easy-to-use BlackBerry keyboard, the highly anticipated BlackBerry Torch offers an exceptional mobile experience for both consumers and business users in India,said Frenny Bawa, Managing Director, India, Research In Motion.

BlackBerry Torch comes with a 3.2 inch touch screen display, slide-out QWERTY keyboard with backlighting, 5 megapixel camera with 2X digital zoom, VGA video recording, optical trackpad, 3G Connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v2.1 with EDR, geotagging, MicroSD card slot, 4 GB internal memory, 32GB expandable memory, built-in GPS with BlackBerry Maps, up to 30 hours music playback, up to 18 days Standby Time, up to 5.5 hours talk-time and 1300 mAHr lithium-ion battery.

BlackBerry Torch has a broad range of communications and multimedia features, and this smartphone is ideal for socially connected consumers and packed with some advanced tools for business customers. BlackBerry 6 also integrates a new and rich WebKit-based browser on BlackBerry Torch that renders HTML web pages quickly and beautifully for a great browsing experience.
