Panasonic India today unveiled its latest smartphone – P55 – a phablet featuring 5.5-inch display running Android KitKat 4.4.2.
The phone features a 13.9cm (5.5”) IPS HD display and is powered by a Quad Core processor clocked at 1.2GHz. There’s an 8MP auto-focus camera capable of Full HD capture and a 2MP front-facing camera . The device features a tile patterned back cover and with a thickness of just 7.9mm, the phone looks stylish as well.
The Panasonic P55 packs in ‘Tap Play’ feature which allows the phone to recognize touch while in sleep mode so that users can double tap to wake-up the phablet instead of reaching for the power button every time. There’s also ‘Gesture Play’, a gesture-based feature to launch apps directly from home screen and ‘Pop-i Player’ which lets you multi-task while playing videos.

The Panasonic P55 will be available in India from the first week of November at a price of ₹10,290. It’s available in black and pearl white colours, and the box includes a flip cover and screen guard.
