Panasonic Eluga Launched In The UK For £364.99

Panasonic recently launched the much-awaited Panasonic smartphone in the UK. It is the company’s first smartphone for the European market. The Panasonic Eluga was announced and showcased at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2012 in Barcelona. This handset runs on the Android 2.3.5 (Gingerbread) Operating System. However, the device will get the Android 4.0 update in the coming months.

The Panasonic Eluga is already available for purchase in Germany from last week. We already posted that the handset was available for pre-order at Expansys, a popular online retailer in the UK. The Panasonic Eluga was scheduled to release on April 24. However, the device has already arrived a week earlier. Panasonic Eluga features a 4.3 inch qHD display, sporting a resolution of 960 × 540 pixels, 1 GHz TI OMAP dual-core processor, Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread Operating System (upgradable to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS), 8 megapixel auto-focus camera, Digital zoom, Image stabiliser, Video recorder and so on.

Other features include a 3.5 mm headset jack, 3G Connectivity, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, G-sensor, Ambient light sensor, GPS receiver, Accelerometer, 1 GB RAM, 8 GB internal memory, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, NFC (Near Field Communication), DLNA connectivity, up to 240 mins of talk-time, up to 300 hrs of stand-by time and a 1150 mAh battery.
