We have a good news for the Android fanboys as well as Android smartphone and tablet users. Google’s Andy Rubin recently tweeted that, more than 500,000 Android devices are being activated each day and the rate is growing at 4 percent week over week. Back in August, he said that 200,000 Android devices are being activated everyday and after 4 months the number was increased to 300,000.

Last month, Google announced at the Google I/O that, the company is activating over 400,000 Android devices each day. And now, within a month the number of devices being activated jumped to 500,000. Andy Rubin’s tweet says,

There are now over 500,000 Android devices activated every day, and it’s growing at 4.4% w/wless than a minute ago via web Favorite Retweet Reply

Last month, Google also announced that, there have been 100 million Android activations. Currently, there are more than 310 Android devices in 112 countries with 36 OEMS, 215 Carriers and 450,000 Android developers. Even the Android Market now has more than 200,000 free and paid apps.

500,000 Android devices are activated each day, which means that nearly 350 Android devices are activated per minute, 3.5 million devices each week, 15 million devices every month and about 180 million per year.
