Notion Ink’s Tablet Gets a Name and a Release Date

Remember the new Android powered Tablet PC we had written about a few days back? Well, Notion Ink – the Indian Startup behind the tablet, has revealed some more information. According to The Hindu, the Tablet is going to be called Adam and it will be hitting the shelves in June 2010. However, we should be able to get our first taste of the device at CES 2010, where Adam will be demoed.

Adam is the brain-child of six IIT graduates and an MBA graduate, who partnered to establish Notion Ink, in order to realize their dream of designing a next-generation device at an affordable price.

Notion Ink certainly won’t have it easy. We would have to wait a good 6 months for Adam. By that time, several other manufactures (including possibly Apple) will already be present in the market. But, there is no denying the fact that if done right, Adam can create quite a stir. One of its strongest points is the modest price of Rs.15,000 (about $322).
