Nokia N97 Mini Firmware Updated To Version 30.0.004

Nokia recently released a new firmware update for its popular slide-out QWERTY phone, the Nokia N97 Mini. This update is a part of the set of upgrades, which was announced by Nokia last week for its Symbian 3.2 and Symbian 5.0 phones. The latest firmware is numbered 30.0.004 and it comes with the new web application, updated Ovi Maps, Emoticon support in messaging and much more.

This update also removes the Ovi Contacts from the Nokia N97 Mini handset and replace it with the new Nokia IM. The latest firmware version can be downloaded from the Nokia Software Update or via. Over-The-Air (OTA). Check out the complete changelog, after the break.

The size of the update is around 17 MB. Even though Nokia N97 Mini has support for User Data Preservation (UDP), you should backup all your data before updating this device, just to make sure that no important files are lost during the installation.

To get this software through your device, select Applications & Software Update, and choose the software you want to update or you can even dial *#0000# & press options > Check for Updates to get the update.
