Nokia E72 Firmware Updated To Version 071.004

Nokia recently released a new firmware update for its popular business phone, the Nokia E72. This handset features 2.36 inch display, full QWERTY keyboard, 5 megapixel camera and more. The new software version is numbered 071.004 and it comes with updated web browser, Ovi maps, along with other performance improvements. You can easily download this firmware update from Nokia Software Update or via. Over-The-Air (OTA). Check out the complete changelog after the break.

  • Smiley support in SMS / MMS
  • Mail client updated to v3.13
  • Performance improvement

To get this software through your device, select Applications > Software Update, and choose the software you want to update or you can even dial *#0000# & press options > Check for Updates to get the update. You may have to wait for few days or even for few weeks before this update is available in your region.

Even though Nokia E72 has support for User Data Preservation (UDP), you should backup all your data before updating this device, just to make sure that no important files are lost during the installation.     In this firmware i saw a lot of LAGs and BUGs,sorry for my english i’m not practiced a few years)The main news-Optical Navi working faster,browser working faster,but sometimes shutting down if you try open big pages,Navi in browser works incorrect,as the same we’ve got another problem on main screen contacts searching isn’t working as it was before it have a lot of lags,on connection side-in this firmware you can’t create a stable bluetooth web with other bluetooth devices,oh yeah i forgot we have smilies here in the messages:)It’s not working correct too:)I don’t see any changes in personalisation of working table like a new shortcut panel in E5.Another ugly SW update from company who WAS my favorite…Before they starts stupid racing in thunder of iphones…I think this company can’t support customers anymore,their first mission-create iphone killer,or a lot of 5800 clones…Clowns…

    Thanks Omkar but this new update has almost killed me :-(
    The new Webbrowser with auto-search is terrible. The auto-search has hijacked all of my links for job……websites that connect to internal databases are all ruined now….thanks a lot Nokia :-( how can I downgrade to the previous version???

    I UPDATED MY PHONE AND I MUST SAY I AM REALLY SORRY I DID IT…MY PHONE GOT SCREWED BAD…BLUETOOTH IS NOT WORKING ANY MORE..ALTHOUGH I CAN SEE OTHER DEVICES AND THEY CAN SEE ME TOO..BUT CAN’T CONNECT….IF THAT WAS NOT ENOUGH, THE USB CABLE CONNECTION DOES NOT WORK ANY MORE…THE PHONE IS NOT RECOGNIZED WHEN CONNECTED TO A LAPTOP/PC VIA USB CABLE..EVEN PC SUITE WONT RECOGNIZE IT..THE PHONE HAS ALSO STOPPED CHARGING OFF THE USB…PATHETIC UPDATE…NOKIA IF YOU ARE READING THIS THEN IT’S A REQUEST PLS DO SOMETHING…I LOVED MY PHONE WAY TOO MUCH BUT NOW YOU HAVE REDUCED IT TO JUNK WITH THIS UPDATE..
