Nokia E63 Firmware Updated To Version 410.21.010

Nokia recently released a new firmware update for its popular business phone, Nokia E63. The new version 410.21.010 can be easily downloaded through Nokia Software Updater (NSU) or via. Over-The-Air (OTA) update. The new firmware update comes with a wide range of fixes and improvements. Check out the complete changelog below.

• Email and WLAN functionality improvements
• Email application freezes

CALL HANDLING
• Fix for phone reboot issue when contact has Internet telephony detail

CALENDAR
• Fix for Chinese characters in Lunar calendar
• Fix for Western Sahara country legal issue

CONNECTIVITY
• Improvement in Connection establishment with slow gprs
• Fix for WLANsniffer scanning enabled in the background when it should be disabled

• Nokia Messaging IM2.0.19
• Gimlet v9.6.0.16
• Mail for Exchange 3.0.50

QWERTY KEYBOARD
• Usability improvements
• Fix for Backslash character for Portugese language
• Fix for missing characters in French/Italian languages

    Hi,

    can you advise how to update the firmware using OTA or wifi method. I dont have a PC and cant do the upgrade via Nokia software updater.

    Hi Omkar

    I am facing a little prob, maybe you can help?

    I have a nokia e63 and am using nokia messaging for emailing. I have setup two homail inboxes and they work fine except for one minor issue which is irritating the hell out of me. I can not seem to fwd emails received. They just stay there stuck in the outbox… I can not even fwd emails without attachments for some odd reason. I changed the internet connection from WME ( Warid Mobile Email – warid is a cellular company in Pakistan) to warid internet to default. it worked initially but even that is not working now. I am now upgrading the firmware hoping that this problem would resolved. What are your views?

    Hello,

    I have a Nokia E63. I type *#0000# and get message

    400.21.013
    22-10-2009
    RM-449

    with OK

    I don't get the OPTION to update firmware.

    What am I doing wrong?

    I live in California USA.

      e63 does not have option for updating firmware over the air(FOTA)…only way to upgrade is through PC Suite/Ovi Suite….

    In order for you to update your phone's firmware, you need to have nokia pc suite installed on your computer. After installing the pc suite, make sure that the pc suite is updated, if not, go check for updates, After updating, you will find there the nokia software updater on your desktop , click it, follow the instructions and off you go.

    hello, i started to run the update but something went wrong with my internet connection and the process was interrupted. actually my nokia E63 shows only “Local Mode” and the model 410.21.010 and does not switch on. can you help me please…?
