Nokia E55 Firmware Updated To Version 031.012

Recently, Finnish mobile phone maker, Nokia, released a new firmware update for its popular business handset, Nokia E55. The new version 031.012 can be easily downloaded from Nokia Software Update (NSU) or via, Over The Air (OTA) update. The new firmware update comes with some useful built in applications.

  • Maps 3.03 (0.1.22.103)

The size of this firmware update is just 7724KB. This update may not be available for all the product codes. It is advised to backup all your data before updating your device.     Oh Joy, 031.012 has stopped me sending my new E55 back to the supplier.

    It had been driving me crazy with the GPS which was non-functional. I got "no connection" in all the "GPS Data" screens and the "satellite status" menu option was missing.

    031.012 brings back the "satellite status" menu option and has shown me 4 satellites out my living room window!

    So happy about this that I've not had a chance to explore any other firmware improvements….
