Nokia E52 Firmware Updated To Version 31.012

Recently, Finnish mobile phone maker, Nokia, released a new firmware update for its popular business handset, Nokia E52. The new version 31.012 can be easily downloaded from Nokia Software Updater (NSU). This update is currently not available through Over-The-Air (OTA). The new firmware update comes with a wide range of fixes and improvements in built-in applications and audio quality of calls.

It is advised to backup all your data before updating your device. The complete changelog is not yet available. We will update this post as soon as we get the complete changelog, screenshots and videos of this firmware update.     This version still has a problem with sending email. It just disappears or sits on the outbox

    It's the E55 which has the half-QWERTY handset, not the E52.

    Oh shame! The update wasn't available for my E52. I hope it will be since it apparently fixes some of the issues with the music player. Mine crashes the phone a lot.

    bought a new E52. BT was not working for calling (OK for music).

    sent to NOKIA care for repair. after 2 weeeks they replace the motherboard & update tto new firmware 31.012.

    BT is OK now , but the phone is really too buggy.

    contact search (at the home screen)although set to ON but most of the times doesn't work. (will work only once, then goes away. restart the phone & then will work once only)

    open the contact, & try typing any alphabet , but can't type.

    Although I am working with Nokia associated company but was BAD decision to go in for NOKIA E52. will never go in for NOKIA

    after update to new version 031.012 my contact photo book can't search. it also missing the predictive search mode on contact. anyone come across this problem??? pls help to provide solution for me.

      Hi lai,

      I sent my phone twice for this problem, but they are unable to sort it out.

      what they do is give a report that software updated, tested OK.

      really pissed off .

    Hi,

    I just found the fix for the contact problem.

    Actually some of my contacts had Chinese characters.

    After firware update, it was not working because of that due to some bug.

    I deleted all the Chinese characters from all the contacts & now there is noiisue.

      do know how nokia engineer can make this simple mistake… when we can have perfect sw for our E52….

    Yes. My mom is using this phone that I bought for her. She uses chinese pretty often and is having this problem where she can't search.

    When I updated to 031.012 as soon as I powered the phone, he sent a SMS to a expensive 88108 number. That was Vodafone version. My friend has tmobile which has 033. and that one does not do that. It seems as though this expensive 88108 will be free of charge, but the Pandoras Box is now open, what if they charged me heavily for that ? Some people got charged up to 20 euros from that 88108 number, but for some other services, imagine that they did that to me ? I would brake the phone, that is just bad!

    i brought e52 so that i can call to india with calling card first when i install the software of calling card it was working fine but now whenever i try to call it show connection failed please try to help me
