The final handset which Nokia announced today at the Nokia World is the Nokia E7. The E7 is touted as the next communicator phone from Nokia. The E7 sports a biiiiggg4-inch touchscreen display which also uses Nokia’s ClearBlack Display (CBD). The E7 also features a four row slide-out QWERTY keyboard. The handset is billed by Nokia as the ultimate business smartphone’. The E7 features Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync, business grade lock and wipe functionality, secure intranet access, remote device management, Mail for Exchange and Microsoft Share Point server.
Even though the E7 is touted as a business oriented handset, it does not skip on the multimedia front. The E7 packs in an 8MP camera with dual-LED flash at its back. The handset is also capable of recording and editing HD videos (720p). It also boasts of a mini-HDMI out port and Dolby Digital surround sound. The E7 will be running the latest Symbian^3 OS.
The E7 boasts of a mammoth standby battery life of 18 days and up to 9 hours of talk time. The expected retail pricing of the device is EURO495 before taxes and subsidies. The device will hit the retail stores before the year end.
