After the Carbon and Sapphire Arte, Nokia has added another luxury handset in the luxury handset segment. The new handset has been codenamed as Erdos. Nokia 8800 Erdos is been touted as an engineering masterpiece. The phone will run Series 60 which will give the device all smartphone abilities. The device is finished from a single piece of stainless steel and has a display that is covered by glass. This covers the device while in the standby mode.
Recently a video and few specifications of this luxury handset have been leaked. According to the leaked specifications the Erdos will measure 116.9mm x 50,3mm x 15.0 mm. The handset will incorporate an OLED, 2.4-inch QVGA display that boasts of a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels. When the cover of the phone is slid down, the keypad rises up to meet the display level.
Nokia Erdos is powered by Symbian S60 operating system. The phone will feature 5 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, with an 8GB internal memory, the Erdos is capable of playing back videos with a resolution of 288 x 352 pixels at a rate of 30 frames per second. The connectivity features of the handset include WLAN, AGPS, USB and Stereo Bluetooth ver 2.0.
