It should be v50 now. Press / dial *#0000# then Options > Check Software Updates to check the available firmware update for your phone.

hello.sir….

i currently have version 50.0.0.5 installed on my fone…i updated on 1st june..

but i find the version 40.0.0.5 more handy and easy to use…the people at nokia care say that they cant degarde the software….can u guide me how i could do the same…

I'm having your problem as well… I can't even start music player because it keeps on searching for musics and podcasts…

Besides from that, if I try the file manager, and look up for my musics, and select one to play, it just shows me my background and it gets stuck…

I can only play my musics if I go to Change Profile and select the music I want to choose to be my ringing tone… But as you can guess, that's OBVIOUSLY not a decent solution…

Any replies to this, even if it's just to say that you have the same problem would be much appreciated (note: if you end up here by searching on google, you can reply here without an account, just as I did… so please, let's support each other…)

hi.. i hav purchased a nokia 5800 red with product code 0575590 two days ago… it shows software version v30… should i change to v40.. i am a bit confused because the set is new and i dont want to ruin it…is it advisable to change to v 40 so soon… and also can i change to v 50
