Nokia 5800 Firmware Updated To V52.0.007

Nokia_5800Nokia has released a new firmware update for its highly popular S60v5 handset the Nokia 5800. The new firmware update is numbered v52.0.007 and improves the performance of the device by a huge margin. The firmware update also improves the touchscreen response of the device along with an improved Wi-Fi connection and an updated version of Ovi Maps (v3.04).

The kinetic scrolling of the handset has also been improved and Nokia have also added the turbo manifest theme effect. After the update, the phone also auto-rotates faster. The performance of the Gallery application has also been improved. The RDS bug which affected the handset after the v40 firmware update has also been fixed.

Nokia 5800 owners can update the firmware of their device either by using Nokia Software Updater (NSU) or via OTA (Over-The-Air). Even though the handset has UDP, users are recommended to make a backup of their device data before proceeding with the firmware update.

    i updated my nokia 5800 frimware to the 52.0.007 version, but i’m facing some problems….one of which is that i have to use the unlock button before i can answer an incoming call by rolling on the screen…i have to use the green key…same thing when when the alarm rings….
    and when i call someone it locks the screen automatically and if i have to activate the loudspeaker i have to use the unlock button again….
    all of this and many other problems started after i updated it last september…is this normal or it’s a problem in my phone….and if it’s a problem in mine only how can i reinstall the software again??
    please i need a solution as soon as possible

      there is no way you can reinstall your old fw without using some flashing software like JAFS v50 onwards fw of 5800 always give me headaches id prefer using the old school v40
