By on March 3rd, 2010

There aren’t many IM clients for  available for touch screen Java based phones. So you got phone like Samsung Jet or any other Java based touch screen phone, you are in a soup. I mean, really iPhone, Blackberry, Symbian and Android users are spoiled for choice in such cases.

Well, Nimbuzz has recently released an update for its java client and one of the major update includes support for touch screen phones. The new version brings kinetic scrolling and bigger touch areas to Samsung and LG touch screen mobiles.  We also listened to your requests and now we support:  LG Prada, LGVX9100,  LG Voyager,  LG Vu,  Samsung SPH-M540,  Samsung Star and Samsung Jet.

You can download Nimbuzz From here.

It doesn't work on my Samsung Jet. Well, everything seems to work except clicking on a contact on the contact list to send a message. It appears that the area in which you have to press is extremely small and nearly impossible to hit. And even when you do hit it, it seems to only respond sometimes. It seems a bit random. Nothing installed on the phone; the software is exactly the same as when I got it.
