    Having left my Iphone 3g behind I purchased a droid last week. I am nervous I jumped the gun to soon. I appreciate these comparisons however from my research there are a few mistakes in your chart (cited below).

    1. Display on the Droid and Nexis are both 3.7

    2 The Iphone 3gs camera is 3 megapixels, not 5

    3. The droid video is less than 30FPS… i think 26 for some reason but not positive on exacts for this one

    On a separate note, I like your description of weeknesses. I loved my iphone for its simplicity and reliability but hated the lack of camera flash, true turn by turn navigation, tethering capabilities, multitasking… etc. I also hated ATT. I love my droid because it does have much of what the iphone lacks but definitely miss the simplicity of the iphone. You are correct about it being buggy too. For an average user I dont think the bugs really show but if you are a tech fanatic like me and push it, it often pushes back (freezing up or rebooting on me).

    Heres my question- Do you think the bugs are android or hardware related? If android, do you think the next update will resolve the issues?

      I to have the same buggy issues with lockups and freezes. Not sure the Nexus one is the iphone killer. I think the bugs are related to the software not the hardware but I could be wrong and hopfully the next update will fix that.

    Very informative. Nice comparison.

    One small correction. Camera specification for iPhone 3GS should be corrected.

    iPhone has just 3MP camera. I think it is a typo error. Please update.

    This chart seems fairly unreliable. A couple of other spec changes for the Droid: It currently ships with Android 2.0, not 2.1; it comes with a 16GB microSD card, not a 8GB card; it doesn't support GSM (at least not the model sold by Verizon). Also I can't find a source that says the iPhone has the ARM Cortex processor. Use this chart as a comparison with caution.

      @Trevor
      iPhone and iPhone 3G doesn't come with ARM Cortex processor. If you can see above, we have compared iPhone 3GS, which comes with ARM Cortex processor. Check out GSM Arena to confirm. Thanks for the latest information regarding Motorola Droid. Updated!

    Thanks for this, it is very helpful. I wonder has anyone considered what might be coming soon? The iPhone 4G rumors or more kindle type readers or more combinations of phones, touchscreens, cameras, browsers?? I'm trying to decide about buying something now or waiting 6 months. But of course, the "expected release dates" are even less reliable thatn weather or stock forecasts!!

    This is awful… The Droid has a 3.7" screen. So many errors.
