Finally! It was nearly 3 and half months ago we had told you that the myTouch 3G will be getting the Android 2.2 update. Now, T-Mobile and HTC have finally started rolling out the Android 2.2 update to all myTouch 3G owners. Most myTouch owners are already enjoying Froyo on their handsets.

The Android 2.2 update for the myTouch will bring with it a modified version of the Faves Gallery, which will provide users with all the relevant information of the top 20 most contacted people. It will also bring full exchange support for contacts, mail and calendar. The Froyo update for the myTouch 3G looks pretty close to a stock Android 2.2 build.

However, the bad news is that myTouch 3G handsets with a 3.5mm jack will be getting the update in the coming weeks.
