Motorola Unveils Android Powered SPICE

Motorola recently unveiled a new Android powered device, the Motorola SPICE. It has a capacitive touchscreen display as well as full QWERTY keyboard. This handset looks quite similar to RIM’s flagship product, the BlackBerry Torch 9800. Motorola SPICE comes with a large capacitive touchscreen with multi-touch support and pinch-to-zoom, along with BACTRACK for one-handed use.

Motorola SPICE features a 3.0 inch capacitive touchscreen display with 240 x 320 pixel resolution, full QWERTY keyboard, Android 2.1 operating system, 528MHz processor, 3 megapixel camera with 8x Digital Zoom and Fixed Focus, 3G connectivity Wi-Fi, MP3 player and more.

Other features include 256MB RAM, 512MB ROM, microSD card slot, 32GB expandable memory, FM Radio, 3.5mm headphone jack, USB 2.0, Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR, A-GPS, up to 230 hours stand-by time, up to 7 hours talk-time and 1170 mAh battery.

Motorola SPICE is manufactured by using 25% post consumer recycled plastics. It allows you to download more than 80,000 apps from the Android Market. The price of this handset is not announced yet. Motorola SPICE will be available in Q4 2010.
