Earlier this year, Motorola launched the Motoluxe smartphone at the Consumer Electronics show (CES) 2012 in Las Vegas. This handset was shipped with the old Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) Operating System. However, Motorola has launched a new Motoluxe smartphone for the Chinese market. The Motorola Motoluxe XT685 runs on the Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) OS. There are no major changes to the specs of this device except the newer version of the OS and a 1 GHz processor. It also comes with a WCDMA + GSM dual-mode dual-standby capabilities.

Motorola Motoluxe XT685 features a 4 inch FWVGA display, sporting a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels, Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) Operating System, 1 GHz processor, MotoSwitch user interface, dual-mode dual-standby capabilities, 8 megapixel rear-facing camera with 4x digital zoom and auto-focus, VGA front-facing camera for video calls, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 3G connectivity and much more.
Other features include a 3.5 mm headset jack, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS with A-GPS, DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance), 512 MB of RAM, 1 GB of ROM, MicroSD card slot, 32 GB expandable memory, MicroUSB 2.0, WiFi Direct, FM Radio, Ambient light, proximity sensor, Google Play Store, up to 6.5 hours of talktime, up to 450 hours of stand-by time and a 1400 mAh battery.
Motorola Motoluxe XT685 comes with a price-tag of just 1,999 Chinese yuan (approx. $315). This handset is available in white and brown colors from authorized Motorola resellers across Mainland China.
