Details of the new Motorola Kobe, model number MB520 have surfaced on several websites. It will be offered on AT&T’s network and seems like a budget version of Verizon’s Motorola Droid X.
It will have a 3.5 inch LCD display with a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels. It also has a 800 MHz TI OMAP processor, PowerVR SGX 530 GPU, 512 MB RAM and comes with 2 GB internal storage. It will have a 3.15 MP camera without flash, much lower compared to the Droid X’s 8 MP camera. It will have the basic connectivity options like 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with DLNA, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP and GPS.
It runs Android 2.1 but will probably get the Android 2.2 upgrade. It sports the MotoBLUR UI, like the Droid 2 and the Droid X.
It should be a very nice budget Android option. It performs quite well on the benchmarks, scoring more than the Galaxy S.
