Finally Verizon and Motorola are going to roll out the Android 2.2 (Froyo) update for the Droid X. Verizon have updated their Droid X support page which states that the Froyo update for the device is ready to be rolled out soon. Droid X FroyoSources suggest that the update will be rolled out within a couple of days. The software update version which will be rolled out is Verzion.2.3.15.MB810.

The Android 2.2 update for the Droid X will bring with it improved and faster web browsing experience including Flash 10.1. The update will also improve the 3G Mobile hotspot application on the Droid X. Hopefully; the update will also fix the Exchange server issues which have been plaguing the X.

This update will also install Verizon’s VZ Navigator application on your Droid X. The update will also improve the performance of the phone.
