When Motorola unveiled its 2012 line-up of DROID RAZR HD devices, it promised that it will be updating them to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean before the year end.
While the official update from Motorola is not yet available, the folks over at DroidRzr have managed to get their hands on a leaked Jelly Bean firmware for the DROID RAZR HD and MAXX HD owners.
For a leak, the firmware is pretty stable and includes all the Jelly Bean goodness including Project Butter and Google Now. Some users do report that there is a bit of lag here and there, but that is given considering that this is not the final firmware.
If you own a DROID RAZR HD or the RAZR MAXX HD, then head over to the DroidRzr forums for the download link and the installation instructions. The installation steps are pretty easy, and there is also an automated tool which will flash back Ice Cream Sandwich on your RAZR HD/MAXX HD, if you feel like doing so.
