Yesterday, we told you that the HTC EVO 4G and the Desire will be getting the Froyo update next week [1]. Today, Motorola has officially confirmed that the Droid will be getting the Froyo update from August 3 onwards.
[2] Motorola has also released a small change-log for the upcoming update.
The Froyo update for the Motorola Droid [3] will include the following enhancements:
* Improved Web browsing with Adobe Flash Player 10.1 beta for Android
* New security options including remote device wipe and device lock, password complexity and minimum password length.
* Easily switch between the eight most recent applications.
* Rotate the screen 270 degrees to work with apps in any direction.
Along with this, the audio quality of the device is also expected to improve. Most of the Android phones will be getting the Froyo update in the month of August itself, except for the Samsung Galaxy S [4].
