The Motorola Droid 2 is expected to be launched during August by Verizon and Motorola. Nearly, all the relevant details about the handset are available thanks to the various leaks. The Motorola Droid 2 will feature the same 1 GHz processor used in the Motorola Droid X. The phone will have a 3.7-inch TFT screen, and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. Now one of the readers at Droid-Life had the opportunity to use the Droid 2 for a few minutes.
The reader reports that the handset was running on Froyo, and was noticeably more responsivethan the original Droid. He also reported that on top of the Android shell, the Motorola Blur UI is also present. With regards to the keyboard, the reader said it was phenomenal. According to the reader, the look, size and feel of the phone was like the original Droid as well. There were only a few subtle changes like the new silver color of the handset.
