Motorola Droid 2 Getting A Minor OTA Software Update

Motorola, along with Verizon have just rolled out a minor software update for the Droid 2. The Over-The-Air (OTA) software update will hit your phones within the next couple of days. Here is the small change log of theMotorola Droid 2 update :

Improvements:
* Enabled text and picture message scrolling.
* Streamlined set up of Visual Voice Mail feature.
* Improved contact sync with Corporate Exchange categories
and groups.
* View accurate contact pictures when reviewing Recent Call Log.

Users who manually initiate the update may get it right away. However, server initiated updates will start from August 24. The Droid 2 from Motorola is the successor to the original and the highly popular Droid. The Droid 2 is also the first Android phone to hit the market pre-loaded with Android 2.2. The phone is powered by a 1 GHz OMAP processor, and packs in 512MB of RAM along with 5MP camera and an LED flash.
