Earlier this week, LG announced the LG Optimus Vu and LG Optimus LTE Tag. Now, the company went ahead and announced 3 new smartphones, the LG Optimus L3, LG Optimus L5 and LG Optimus L7. These devices belongs to the LG’s L-Style series of smartphones. The LG Optimus L3, L5 and L7 will be showcased next week at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2012 in Barcelona.
“Design is consistently the top or second most important factor for customers when choosing a mobile phone,” said Dr. Jong-seok Park, President and CEO of LG Mobile Communications Company. “With smartphones, we sometimes took a more functional approach to design but with L-Style we’re going back to our roots as a company focused on how our products fit into the lifestyle of our customers.”
According to the company, L-Style’s design is comprised of ‘five aesthetic elements’ – Modern Square Style, Floating Mass Technology, Seamless Layout, Harmonized Design Contrast and Sensuous Slim Shape. The Optimus L3, L5 and L7 are the company’s first smartphones to feature the L-Style look.
LG Optimus L3 is basically an entry-level smartphone with a 3.2 inch display and Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) OS. On the other hand, the LG Optimus L5 and Optimus L7 are the high-end smartphones with a 4 inch display and 4.3 inch display respectively. These high-end smartphones will also run on the latest Android 4.0 OS.
LG Optimus L3 will be launched in March, followed by the Optimus L5 and Optimus L7 in the first half of 2012. The complete specs of these devices are expected to be available next week at the MWC 2012. The price of these smartphones will be announced later.
