The LG Optimus Sol, which was leaked a few days ago, has been officially unveiled by LG. The LG Optimus Sol (E730) will come with Android 2.3 Gingerbread. It will be powered by a Qualcomm MSM8255 processor clocked at 1 GHz and comes with 512 MB of RAM.
The highlight of the device, however, is the new Ultra AMOLED display. It comes with a 3.8 inch Ultra AMOLED display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. It minimizes the loss of quality and improves the reflexivity of the display, according to LG. It also comes with a new power saving technique which minimizes the use of white light, leading to 20% – 30% more battery life.
It is a sleek and stylish phone with a thickness of only 9.8 mm. It includes a 5 MP camera with autofocus and the standard connectivity options – Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with DLNA and Wi-Fi Direct, A-GPS etc.
It comes with a 1,500 mAh battery and will be launched in Europe in September. No pricing details have been revealed yet, but it should likely be priced in the budget category, like the LG Optimus Black. We’ll keep you updated.
