LG Marquee Announced; Coming To Sprint For $99.99

LG and Sprint recently announced the new LG Marquee smartphone. This handset is the Sprint’s version of the popular LG Optimus Black smartphone. It comes with a 4 inch NOVA display, 1 GHz Cortex-A8 processor, 5 megapixel camera with HD (720p) video recording, 3G Connectivity and much more. The LG Optimus Black originally comes with the Android 2.2 OS, but LG Marquee runs on the latest Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) Operating System.

LG believes fashion and technology go hand-in-hand among today’s growing contingent of style-conscious and tech-savvy consumers,said Tim O’Brien, vice president of marketing for LG Mobile. By partnering with Sprint, MADE and Stacy London, LG effectively showcases three prominent phone features important to consumers: a sleek, thin profile, ultra light weight design and bright display.

LG Marquee features a 4 inch NOVA display with 480 x 800 pixels resolution, 1 GHz Cortex-A8 processor, Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) Operating System, Optimus UI 2.0, 3G Connectivity, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, HD (720p) video recording, 2 megapixel front-facing camera for video calls, 3.5 mm headphone jack, Stereo FM radio with RDS, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, microUSB 2.0, A-GPS, 2 GB internal storage, 512 MB RAM, microSD card slot, 32 GB expandable memory, 2 GB microSD card bundled, up to 375 hrs standby time, up to 5.5 hrs talk-time and a 1500 mAh battery.

You can get this handset for just $99.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate and a two year service agreement. LG Marquee will be available from October 2 at Sprint stores. You can also pre-order this handset online, starting from September 20.
