Key Announcements From Google Android/Nexus One Event
Today, Nexus One was launched at the Android Press Conference. Many exiting features and information regarding Nexus One was revealed at the event. Check out the key announcement from Android Press Conference below.

- Two years ago, Google and many industry leaders made the Open Handset Alliance (OHA). Now the OHA has 52 members and 13 additional members.
- In 2009, OHA had 4 major software releases. They were donuts, eclaires and cupcakes.
- Google says people search the web 30x more on an Android phone than they do on a feature phone.





On being asked, if Nexus One is an iPhone killer, they replied “We’re calling it a superphone, but the message isn’t to the iPhone, it’s to consumers. Choice is a really good thing.”

Nexus One does look impressive, and the relationship with Google will not hurt either. I expect to see this handset being very successful, especially if it is priced cheaper than an iPhone.
