Earlier yesterday, we told you that Sn0wbreeze 1.8 would be released soon and as promised @iH8sn0w has released an updated version to jailbreak iOS 4.1 on iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 3G and iPod Touch 2G. iPhone 3G users will have to use redsn0w 0.95 to jailbreak their iPhone.
Currently sn0wbreeze 1.8 only supports jailbreaking the iOS 4.1 beta based devices including iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch 3G and should not be used by general public. Once again, this jailbreak is only intended for developers, so stay away from it if you are not one.
If you are looking for a iOS 4 jailbreak you will have to use redsn0w for iPhone 3G jailbreak or iPod Touch 2G jailbreak and sn0wbreeze 1.7 for iPhone 3GS jailbreak and iPod Touch 3G jailbreak. If you have updated to iOS 4.0.1 you can jailbreak iOS 4.0.1 on iPhone 3G and iPod Touch 2G and also unlock iPhone 3G 4.0.1 with Ultrasn0w.
If you haven’t upgraded to iOS 4.1 yet, you might also want to backup your iOS 4 SHSH blogs, before Apple stops making them available so that you can downgrade iOS 4.1 to iOS 4 in future. We will keep you posted when a new jailbreak for iOS 4.1 becomes available, stay tuned and subscribe to our Mobile News to know when it happens.
