Jailbreak iOS 4.1 iPhone 3G and iPod 2G With redsn0w 0.9.5

If you have updated to you can jailbreak iPhone 3G and 2G (non-MC model) using redsn0w 0.9.5 beta 5. The iOS 4.1 jailbreak won’t work for , 3GS or iPod Touch yet.

Here is some good news from the Dev Team, iPhone 3G and iPod Touch 2G (non-MC model) users who have upgraded to the latest iOS 4.1 beta can jailbreak their devices using redsn0w 0.9.5 beta 5. The process to jailbreak will remain the same, however, users will have to point redsn0w to use the 4.0 IPSW (the public one, not the developer GM one) instead of iOS 4.1 IPSW.

This couldn’t get any more simpler for iPhone 3G and iPod Touch 2G users. We are expecting an iOS 4.1 jailbreak for iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch 3G soon too. Also don’t forget to Save your SHSH Blobs to jailbreak iOS 4 in future, you can learn how to save iOS 4 SHSH blobs.

    i did the jailbreak on my iphone 3G and my phone icon is missing and cydia is a white icon and wont launch

    This jailbreak doesn’t worh with Apples iOS4.1 can you please publish the IPSW file & redsn0w version together so that it can be downloaded as well as instructions.

    I am using a iPhone 3G with iOS version 4.1(8B117) with no sucess as it claims the official Apple IPSW file is not correct.

    ok, all the comments seem to be having problems with iphone, how does this work with the iPod touch 2nd gen?
