CDMA Networks Across The World May Get iPhone 4 Soon
At the Verizon iPhone 4 event today, Verizon announced that they will be bring the iPhone 4 to Verizon network in February. Verizon customers and others can pre-order the iPhone 4 from Feb 3 and buy it from Feb 10.

However, there was one question which was asked at the conference which goes like this:
Is the CDMA iPhone exclusive to Verizon?
Tim Cook, COO of Apple answered: It’s a multi-year, non exclusive deal.
Prior to the Verizon launch, iPhone only worked on GSM networks. Now with the Verizon deal, iPhone has been modified to work on CDMA networks too. Since this is a non exclusive deal, Apple will more likely than not use the same phone model to court CDMA Networks across the world.
This would sound good for several networks including Reliance in India who run on a CDMA network. So you can expect Apple to launch on more CDMA networks soon, but I don’t see it happening for the next 3-6 months.
However, Apple will definitely be taking calls from several CDMA operators for sure. So keep your fingers crossed.
