Swype is the most revolutionary innovation in mobile text input systems since T9. It works by allowing you to “swype” your fingers on a virtual keyboard to form words instead of typing out letters. It has been one of the major reasons behind the success of touchscreen Android phones. A few weeks back, Nokia announced Swype for Symbian devices. It is available in the Ovi Store for only a few devices now.
One of the Swype supported devices is the Nokia C7. It is suite similar to the Nokia N8, but has a more rounded design and sports slightly lower hardware specs.
If you have a Nokia N8, Nokia is planning to launch a version of Swype for the Nokia N8 pretty soon.
But if you can’t wait to try it out on your new Nokia N8, you can use the C7 version of Sqype. It works perfectly well in the N8, atleast in the landscape mode. In the portrait mode, it doesn’t. Nokia and Swype are probably working on a portrait version which might be released in the future.
To Install Swype on the Nokia N8, just go to http://store.ovi.com/content/58438/ and select your phone model as a Nokia C7. Install Swype on your N8 and have fun swyping.
To Install Swype on a Nokia C7, just do the same.
