HTC is expected to launch a mid-range Android smartphone in China. This handset will be called as the HTC Wind smartphone. Recently, the leaked pics and specs of this device was spotted at the Taiwanese forum ePrice. This handset looks quite similar to the recently launched HTC One S smartphone. It offers a mid-range hardware along with the dual-SIM support.
The HTC Wind runs on the latest Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) Operating System. It comes with a 4 inch Super LCD WVGA display, sporting a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, 1 GHz single-core processor, 5 megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 3G Connectivity, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 3.5 mm headset jack, Play Store, Bluetooth 3.0, Beats Audio, 512 MB RAM, 4 GB internal memory, MicroSD card slot, 32 GB expandable memory and a 1650 mAh battery.
HTC Wind will be available for just 1999 Chinese yuan (approx. $315). This handset is not expected to launch in European and American markets. The release date of this handset is still unknown. HTC might launch this device in India and other developing countries, where dual-SIM phones are quite popular. Stay tuned for more updates.
