HTC Wildfire Rooted

The HTC Wildfire is a low-end Android handset. The phone has a 3.2-inch capacitive display, with 240×320 resolution display. The phone is powered by a 528Mhz Qualacomm processor and packs in 384MB of RAM. The phone also has 512MB of ROM. The phone runs on the Android 2.1 (Eclair) OS. A 5MP camera, along with an LED flash at the back of the device is also present.

The phone hit the retail market just a few weeks ago. Now PaulOBrien – the guy behind rooting quite a few Android handsets has managed to root the Wildfire as well. The bootloader of the handset should be 0.80 or below. The ROM version should be also 1.14.xxxx.x or below. Users need to have a microSD card to be able to root their phones.

It is recommended that users should use either Windows 7 32-bit, or Mac OS X or any of the available linux distro’s. Here are the steps to root your HTC Wildfire.
