Up until now, HTC has been quite clear on which Android devices of the company will get the Ice Cream Sandwich update. However, the company has been pretty much mum about its devices in the United States. Thankfully, the company has now come clean on which all Android handsets it will be updating to Ice Cream Sandwich in the United States.
The Taiwanese manufacturer will be upgrading all the Android handsets it has released under the Verizon’s network in the last year to Ice Cream Sandwich. This includes the HTC Thunderbolt, Droid Incredible 2, Rhyme and the already announced, Rezound.
It is definitely nice to see HTC updating its single core handsets especially the Thunderbolt to Ice Cream Sandwich. The company has not mentioned anything as to when it will be rolling out the update, so its anyone guess at the moment.
Owners of any of the above handset should not expect much visual changes from the Ice Cream Sandwich update for their handsets. HTC’s Sense skin will hide whatever visual changes Google introduced in ICS, and instead the update will mainly add some new features and update the stock Google applications.
