HTC Sensation XE With Beats Audio and a Faster 1.5Ghz Processor Announced
By on September 14th, 2011

HTC has just announced a mildly updated version of their sensational handset (Sensation), the HTC Sensation XE. Compared to the Sensation, the Sensation XE boasts a powerful 1.5GHz processor from Qualcomm. The Sensation XE is the first phone from the Taiwanese manufacturer stable to sport the Beats Audio’ tag.

Audio is a crucial part of any consumer’s mobile experience and we are continually pushing the audio boundaries to encompass not only improved voice but music, movies and games, said Jason Mackenzie, president of global sales and marketing, HTC Corporation. The HTC Sensation XE offers a truly incredible experience that demonstrates our commitment to place consumers at the center of their mobile worlds.

The whole phone has a red and black color co-ordination, giving it   a very sexy look. Other specs of the Sensation XE remain similar to the original Sensation, which includes 768MB of RAM, and oodles of internal memory. The usual Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS with A-GPS and a bunch of sensors are also present.

The back of the Sensation XE sports an 8MP camera, with a 1.3MP camera in the front accompanying it. The other major difference compared to the original Sensation, the Sensation XE sports a bigger battery. The handset will also come with an 8GB or a 16GB microSD card pre-loaded.

The Sensation XE will also come pre-loaded with an exclusive Beats by Dr. Dre in-ear headphones, which also has an inbuilt microphone and a remote control to play/pause and to skip tracks. The handset will be available in Europe and Asia sometime in late-September.

Hopefully, the Sensation XE has a better inbuilt audio chip compared to the original Sensation. I am also pretty sure the Sensation XE announcement must have pissed off a lot of original Sensation owners.

I love the new look of the HTC Sensation XE. I think the best thing about it is that it comes with Beats headphones, and I know those sound amazing. As soon as you plug in the headphones, the sound gets even better! This has to be one of the coolest phones ever! Plus, since it has 4G and a dual-core processor, there should be more than enough speed to download and stream effortlessly. I use the DISH Remote Access app. I use this app on my Galaxy S and it is awesome. It lets me stream live TV from my 922 SlingLoaded receiver to my phone anywhere I am! As a customer and employee of DISH Network, I have been using this app for a long time, and once the new Sensation comes out, it will be awesome on it!
