HTC Sensation Gets Its First Ever Software Update

HTC has started rolling out an OTA update for the recently released Sensation. The OTA update carries the version number 1.35.401.1, and weighs in at around 28MB. The update will not unlock the boot loader on your Sensation, which many owners would have been hoping for.

The update does not bring any noticeable changes or a bump in Android version as well. In all probability, the update is aimed at fixing some bugs.

The update had leaked on the Internet a few days ago, and has already been tested by Sensation owners over at XDA forums. Post the update, Sensation owners found an improvement in GPS performance, along with an improvement in the charging time of the phone.

The update also improves the overall performance of the handset. However, there is still some lag when using the Sense 3.0 lock-screen or the launcher.   The free3vo method to root the Sensation is also working, post the update.

At the moment, the OTA update is being released for the European version of the Sensation only. To update your sensational handset, users need to head over to Settings-> About Phone > System Updates, and select the Check for update option.
