Earlier this year, the leaked pics of the HTC Runnymede was spotted in the wild. HTC Runnymede is the code name of this handset, but it was rumored that the device will be launched as HTC Bass. Now, according to the guys at PocketNow, HTC Runnymede will be a part of the Sensation family and the device will be launched as the HTC Sensation XL instead of HTC Bass. It will be the third member of the Sensation family, after the original HTC Sensation and the recently launched HTC Sensation XE. Check out the leaked specs of this device after the break.
HTC Runnymede / Sensation XL features a 4.7 inch WVGA display, sporting a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, 1.5 Ghz Qualcomm MSM 8255 processor, Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS, HTC Sense 3.5 UI, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 8 megapixel camera with two LED flash, HD (720p) video recording capabilities, 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera for video calls and more.
It also comes with a 3.5mm headset jack, stereo FM radio with RDS, 768 MB RAM, 16 GB internal memory, microSD card slot, 32 GB expandable memory, Android Market, Bluetooth 3.0, HTC Sync, GPS with A-GPS, 3G Connectivity and a 1600 mAh battery.
This handset will come in 2 Beats Audio-themed variants: one with iBeats earbuds and the special edition with over-the-ear Beats Solo headphones. HTC Runnymede/Sensation XL is expected to launch next month at the HTC’s October 7th event in London.
