HTC Proto Leaked Press Photo And Specs Emerge

We have already seen the leaked pics of the HTC’s upcoming smartphone. Now, the guys at The Verge recently shared the press photos of the HTC Proto smartphone. This handset looks strikingly similar to the previously launched HTC Desire V smartphone. Even the specs of both the device are almost similar.

HTC Desire V is the company’s first dual-SIM smartphone. However, HTC Proto won’t feature the dual-SIM capabilities. The image shown above is the leaked press shot of the HTC Proto, while the image displayed below is the HTC Desire V. The design of both the device looks almost similar with the stunning rounded design and curved corners along with the oval design around the camera.

HTC Proto is rumored to come with a 4 inch touchscreen display, sporting a resolution of 480 × 800 pixels, Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) OS, HTC Sense UI 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 3G Connectivity, 5 megapixel rear camera with auto-focus and LED flash, MicroSD card slot, 32 expandable memory an so on. This handset will be powered by a 1 GHz dual-core processor, instead of the 1 GHz single-core processor found in the Desire V smartphone.

HTC Proto is basically the codename of the device. The commercial name of this smartphone will be unveiled during the launch. Sadly, this device won’t feature the much-needed front-facing camera for video calls. HTC Proto will come with the Beats Audio, since the logo is clearly visible on the back of the device. This handset is expected to be unveiled next week at the IFA 2012 event in Berlin.
