HTC Announces The HTC J; Japanese Variant Of The One S
By on April 22nd, 2012

After releasing a trio of Desire branded handsets for the Chinese market, the company has released a new handset targeted towards the Japanese market. The handset, HTC J, comes with a 4.3-inch AMOLED screen with qHD (640*960) resolution, a GB of RAM, a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor and an Adreno 225 GPU.

There is also an 8MP camera in the back, along with a 1.3MP snapper in the front. All the usual bunch of connectivity features and sensors and 4G WiMAX are also present. If you have not guessed it by now, the HTC J is nothing but a re-branded HTC One S. This means that the phone will also carry the Beats Audio logo and HTC’s ImageSense feature. It is not yet clear whether the J will keep the same micro-arc oxidation build as its European sibling though. The handset will be running on Android 4.0 with HTC’s Sense 4.0 UI on top of it.

The J should hit the Japanese carrier – KDDI – network sometime by the early next month, at an unknown price.
