Back in October, we had reported that the HTC Incredible S will soon be getting an Android 2.3.5 + Sense 3.0 software update. Now, nearly a month and half of writing that post, many Incredible S owners from around the world are reporting that they have got the Sense 3.0 update on their phone. The Desire S had also got a similar software update a few months ago.
The new software update for the Incredible S brings with it a new version of Sense, which comes with an improved lock screen, new animations and a slicker app launcher and an app drawer. The minor bump in the Android OS version does not bring any major changes, except for the latest version of Google talk with video chatting capabilities.
The update is being rolled out in stages, so Incredible S users need to be a bit patient. Also, carrier branded variants of the Incredible S will get the update only after the unlocked variants get it. Hopefully, this also means that the Incredible 2, the U.S sibling of the Incredible S, will get the update sooner than later.
Reports also suggest that the Desire HD will get a similar Sense 3.0 + Android 2.3.5 software update sometime soon.
