HTC Hero

HTC has been phasing the Android 2.1 update to users and users in US already received their updates through Sprint. Earlier this month Asian users of HTC Hero received an update and starting today HTC Hero European users in EU, Denmark, Greece, Ireland, Russia, Ukraine, Turkey and Belgium will start getting the Android 2.1 OTA updates.

The Android 2.1 update for Hero took quite a while, however don’t expect anything more. HTC Hero users will not be receiving a as far as US users are concerned, so you might have to root your device if you want to use Froyo.
