HTC announced the Incredible S at the MWC 2011. The phone is the European successor of the Verizon branded Droid Incredible.
Now, thanks to a tipster the folks over at Droid-Life have got their hands on the specs of the Verizon branded Incredible S the Incredible 2. Like the Incredible S, the 2 will be powered by a 1GHz MSM8255 Snapdragon processor from Qualcomm, and pack 768MB of RAM.
The phone will also sport a 4-inch WVGA (800×480) display. The Incredible 2 will feature dual-microphones for noise cancellation, and will have support for global roaming as well.
Well, these are a pretty much run-of-mill specs with nothing special. In this age of dual-core processors and 1GB of RAM, the Incredible 2 does not offer anything special.
However, some out-of-the-box features of the Incredible 2 include wireless charging, a dedicated TI Audio chip with SRS surround and an 8MP camera at the back with dual-Xenon Flash! Yes, dual-Xenon Flash!
HTC sure has made up for the lack of a dual-core processor with wireless charging and dual-Xenon Flash! It is unknown as to whether the handset sports a front-facing camera or not.
The Droid Incredible 2 will not support Verizon’s 4G LTE network. In all probability, the Incredible 2 will hopefully be announced by HTC and Verizon in the next couple of weeks.
