Along with the Desire HD, HTC also announced the European version of the T-Mobile G2. The Desire Z sports a pop-outQWERTY keyboard with the top row of keys allowing quick access to Google services.
The handset makes use of the new “Z-hinge” design. The Z sports a 3.7-inch screen S-LCD screen with a resolution of 480×800. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm MSM7273 processor running at 800 MHz.
The device has 512 MB of RAM and 1.5 GB of internal memory. The back of the phone sports a 5MP camera with dual-LED flash. The handset is also capable of recording videos in 720p HD format. The phone also sports the usual Wi-Fi n, 3G with HSPA+ and GPS with A-GPS. Like the Desire HD, the Desire Z will also come with the enhanced version of HTC Sense UI and access to HTCSense.com services.
The Desire Z will be powered by a 1300mAh battery. The device will be running on Android 2.2 when released and is expected to hit Europe and Asia in October.
