HTC Confirms Android 4.0 ICS Update Plans For 16 Devices

Motorola and Samsung has already announced their Android 4.0 update plans for smartphones and tablets. HTC has already started rolling out the Android 4.0 update for the Sensation and Sensation XE smartphones. However, the owners of HTC’s other popular smartphones were left in the dark. Now, HTC went ahead and released a complete list of smartphones, which will get the latest Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) update. Check out the complete list after the break.

HTC’s popular smartphones and tablet such as HTC Salsa, HTC Desire Z and HTC Flyer will not get the Android 4.0 update. HTC will roll out the Android 4.0 update for the HTC Sensation 4G and HTC Sensation XL in the next few weeks. It will take some time for all carriers in each country to get the update.

Darren Krape, Global Community Manager, HTC, said,

“As for timing, we’re in the early stages of rolling out Android 4.0 for the HTC Sensation and HTC Sensation XE and upgrades will be more widely available in the next few weeks. We are working closely with our carrier partners to nail down update schedules for our other smartphones and will have more to share very soon.”
